It's the middle of October and the temperatures are hitting the mid-to-high 20s here in Brussels which is certainly not the norm. It might not be long before we bring out our trench coats and quilted jackets again (we did so already a few days ago) but until then, we're just basking in this glorious weather. Parks are filling up with picnics again, cafe and bar terraces are brimming with people of all ages just making the most of these days.
It is also fortuitous that my one purchase from the Morris & Co x H&M collaboration came right in time to be enjoyed without having to hide it under a piece of bulky outerwear. I was incredibly eager for this collection to be released and on the day it did, I rushed to the H&M website to secure at least one item. I guess my academic background reading English literature at university, my obsession with the Pre-Raphaelite and Arts & Crafts movements, the latter characterised by William Morris' wallpaper designs, made the pull this collection would have on me, a somewhat foregone conclusion. All I need now is to enjoy the great outdoors, at least from my sunny balcony.
