Spring Uniform

One of the things I love about living in Belgium is that you do get to enjoy the seasons. Fair enough, sometimes you get to experience all the four seasons in one day - you head out for work and it's a misty 1ºC and by the end of the day you're sipping some vino at an afterwork apéro in a sunny 20ºC (that's a summery temperature there based on my experience thus far ...). But for someone who is very much in love with her autumnal and wintry wardrobe, that means only one thing: as opposed to spring in Malta (which is approximately 2 days long as we immediately jump straight into summer most years), I do get to enjoy layering for a little bit longer and wearing that elusive item known as the summer coat. The concept of summer coats just doesn't exist in the Maltese vernacular! Trench coats and lightweight duster coats are perfect pieces to layer onto crisp white shirts and lacy blouses while still keeping an outfit nice and breezy for the milder spring days. Long-line blazers paired with statement tees and jeans make for a more casual and easy to wear combination. The white shirt and jeans combo featured in theses shots is easily one of my favourite 'uniforms' for spring and I can't wait to pair it with different lightweight outerwear and key accessories for this season.
